Adrian Raso and Nick Johnston

Adrian Raso is a respected guitarist/composer from Guelph, Ontario, Canada, joining Adrian for his live acoustic shows is Nick Johnston on rhythm guitar.  Reviews regarding Adrian’s body of work consider him a guitar virtuoso, an exceptional songwriter, and his jaw-dropping live shows never fail to impress.  C’est La Vie (2008) is Adrian’s tribute to Gypsy Swing, reflecting his love of Django Reinhardt and traditional French Gypsy music.  Adrian is currently in the studio recording his new album due out early in the new year.  This high energy record brings out many of Adrian’s Mediterranean influences, and features guest star performances from the legendary Sheila E. (Prince, Ringo Starr) and drummer Kevin Figueiredo (Extreme).

Carolyn Wonderland & Shelley King

A musical force equipped with the soulful vocals of Janis Joplin and the guitar slinging skills of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carolyn Wonderland reaches into the depths of the Texas blues tradition with the wit of a poet.  She hits the stage with unmatched presence, a true legend in her time.  Joining her is the 2008 Texas State Musician, singer and songwriter Shelley King, who delivers her music straight from the heart with a voice that’s splendidly rich and warm and big as all outdoors.

Eric McFadden

Eric tours, or, has toured Europe, North America, Japan and Australia and as a member of George Clinton’s Parliament/Funkadelic, Eric Burdon &The Animals and Stockholm Syndrome. He has also worked with such greats as Jackson Brown, Joe Strummer (The Clash), Les Claypool (Primus), Bo Diddly, Reverend Horton Heat and Keb Mo. Jim McCormick 

his songs have been recorded by Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood,  Randy Travis, Ronnie Milsap, Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Rodney Atkins, Jamey Johnson, Kristen Chinoweth, Colt Ford, Cory Morrow, Julianne Hough, Cartel, David Osmond, Joanna Smith, Paul Cebar, Dayna Kurtz, Anders Osborne, Amanda Shaw and others.  Currently he is a staff songwriter with Chrysalis Music and is a sought after top-liner for many projects. He has performed at clubs and festivals throughout the USA, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival; South By Southwest Music Conference in Austin, TX; the Key West Songwriters Festival; Tin Pan South in Nashville; and the Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival in Mexico.

Los Pistoleros

Taking time from their solo careers, recording artist-guitarist Kevin Schaelling, vocalist-guitarist Jason Hatch, and Flamenco guitarist Michael Stacy, have joined forces to form the eclectic Texas based musical group “Los Pistoleros.”  Los Pistoleros performances include both instrumental compositions and guitar accompanied vocal stylings with selections from Jazz, Pop, Rock, and Flamenco music.   With the combination of romantic Flamenco guitars, burnin rock riffs and powerful vocals, a “Los Pistoleros” performance will surely leave you with a truly genuine musical experience!  Viva!! Margaret’s Daughter

South African guitar duo, Margaret’s Daughter, is well-known locally for their tight rhythms and beautiful harmonies. The duo consists of singer-songwriter, Ami, on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Etienne on lead guitar and backing vocals. They will perform songs from all 4 their albums, in 3 different languages, as well as some well-known classics. Their unique blend of acoustic folk rock with African influences has been heard by audiences in the UK, Spain and Mozambique and they are delighted and excited to add Mexico to this list.

 

 

 

Omar Torrez

Born and raised in Seattle (where he was voted Best Band for three consecutive years by Seattle Weekly), Omar received national attention when he won the National Jimi Hendrix Guitar Competition at the prestigious Bumbershoot Festival. Omar then embarked on a journey, traveling the world while studying Cuban and Andalusian gypsy music, learning from musical masters such as Carlos del Puerto, Jr. and Juan Serrano. This remarkable versatility caught the ears of Tom Waits who chose Omar to be his guitarist for the International “Glitter and Doom” Tour. Omar has toured extensively in the US, Mexico and abroad. He has played and recorded with musical giants, including Tom Waits, Kinky, the Buena Vista Social Club, Pancho Sanchez, Susana Baca, Mumiy Troll, and Francisco Aguabella, Viola Trigo, and many more.

His latest release, “Top of the World” is available on iTunes.

Patrick Sweany

Patrick Sweany has been hailed by MOJO Magazine as “The New Blues Explosion” and by Rhapsody as a torchbearer for “21st Century Blues.” On his new record, “That Old Southern Drag,” Sweany expands his musical palette into soul, classic R n B, and scruffy early rock n roll. Long hailed as a guitar virtuoso for his intricate Piedmont-style picking, it’s Sweany’s rich, scruffy voice that takes center stage on “Southern Drag.”

Steven Seidenman

He studied with concert guitarists Jan Filip, Larry Snitzler, and with Myrna Sislen at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He has performed in master classes with internationally recognized guitarists Frederick Hand, Michael Cedric-Smith, and Roland Dyens, and in a series of master classes in music interpretation given by Uruguayan composer Guido Santorsola.  Seidenman has given concerts at various venues, including the Montgomery County Arts Council, The Martin Luther King Memorial Library, The Washington Guitar Society, Church of the Epiphany, Montgomery College Recital Hall, and Strathmore Hall Music Center. He was a winner of the Montpelier Recital Competition. He has recorded two CD’s and has made several guitar transcriptions of Bach, Mendelssohn, Vivaldi and others. In addition to the classics, his repertoire includes tasteful arrangements of vintage Jazz standards and works from the chamber music repertoire for guitar and flute, violin, and string quartet by Giuliani, Sor, Paganini, Berlioz, Lhoyer, Boccherini, Bach, etc. Seidenman currently plays a custom-made 7-string guitar by Virginia luthier Thomas Rodriguez.

 

Tim Williams

Since his beginnings as a teen-aged coffee-house prodigy in Southern California, Tim Williams has continuously mined the “roots music” of North America as few others can.  Mixing old-time blues, Hawaiian music, Mexican music, and his own compositions, all accompanied by finger-style and slide guitar (and mandolin), he has won over club, concert, and festival audiences in the UK (four tours), Australia (two tours), Morroco, Cuba, Mexico, the US, and Canada, sharing stages with B.B. King, Dr. John, ZZ Top, Booker T. and more.
